LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY

The 1st Saturday morning of each month is a time for all leaders at ENCOUNTER to come together for alignment, reaffirming of the vision, prayer, and meeting in specific ministry areas.

During this time, church leaders will have an opportunity to meet with leaders in all areas (hospitality, Ekids, facilities, creative arts, small group leaders, etc.) every month to be sure we are accomplishing the vision God has set before us of SEEKING HIS KINGDOM FIRST.

Leadership community is from 9-11am on the 1st Saturday of every month. For the first part of the meeting we will meet together as a large group. Then from 9:45-11:00, leaders will break out in their specific ministry area for training, evaluation, and prayer.

Dates for future leadership community are: Sept. 11th, Oct. 2, Nov. 6th.

At ENCOUNTER, one of our core values is to multiply. One of the ways we see this happening is to empower good leaders to coach others and to train them for future leadership roles.

All ministries at ENCOUNTER have a head coach who meets regularly with their leaders. The leaders have an apprentice that they are training. The apprentice then becomes a leader and the same process repeats.

7 coaching questions
1. How are you? (relationships, physical, mental, spiritual Luke 2:52)
2. How did things go since we last met? (accountability/ follow-up)
3. What are you celebrating?
4. What challenges are you facing?
5. How will you tackle those challenges?
6. How can I help?
7. How can I pray for you?

Process for apprenticing 2-2-2 Principle "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others." 2 Timothy 2:2

In the 2-2-2 process of apprenticing we like to use this model where "I" is the leader and "you" is the apprentice:

1. I DO. You WATCH. We TALK.

2. I DO. You HELP. We TALK.

3. You DO. I HELP. We TALK.

4. You DO. I WATCH. We TALK.

5. You DO. Someone else WATCHES.
